Lunik IX in Kosice, Slovakia

Pepa (56) grown up in Opava nowadays Czech Republic (former: Czechoslovakia) is a long time resident at the Lunik IX housing complex and was from 1998 for four years the mayor at the local city council at Lunik IX. The concrete building "Hrebenova 34-36" he is in was in appalling condition and demolished in August 2014 by the city of Kosice. Most of its inhabitants had already moved out, just a few families were still living there because they did not know where else to go. Beside Lunik IX grows a new shanty village with some of those families.
