The Salesians are supported by volunteers which are helping the Roma residents with different aspects of their lives. The LUNIK IX housing complex - populated with almost 100% Roma inhabitans - in the western-central part of the city of Kosice located in Eastern Slovakia. The living conditions in Lunik IX are partly very bad and many people do not have electricity, water or gas. Some of the buildings are completely devasted.
