Ostrovany

Mr. Cyril Revák, the mayor of Ostrovany, uses a map to explain the construction of the wall that has been built to separate a Roma settlement from private properties of the town's population. The village of Ostrovany "Dedina" had in Januar 2013 about 591 inhabitants, the Roma settlement beside 1297 inhabitants. To compare: In 1988 the Slovak part "Dedina" of the village had 574 and the Roma settlement 577 inhabitants. Mayor Mr. Rehak sees the building as a "fence" and not a wall.
