The Honecker Bunker in Wandlitz close to Berlin

The emergency power supply..The marine diesels used for generating the emergency power supply were, unfortunately, removed when the bunker was being run down. They were sold and are now in service elsewhere. Nevertheless, the room is impressive due to its size: there would have been five diesel generators here. Details will be given of the processes involved here for normal and emergency operation. What is interesting is the fact that this is actually part of the external area, i.e. in a nuclear war, this room would have been contaminated. Nevertheless, the technicians could carry on working here .
